28.5.11 - 3rd XI v Barns Green 1st XI

Another game where the result should have been so different, but in a cricketing version of Groundhog Day (With B. Murray occupying numbers 1 to 7 of the Worthing batting line up), the runs just weren't forthcoming.

The visitors were inserted by skipper Jim Aylen and his decision was well justified as they were rolled for just 134, but even that was a little more than they should have got with a last wicket stand of about 30.

And so it proved costly as Worthing's batting collapsed to just 118, and that was partly down to some stubborn resistance from Dan Stuart.

The talent is there but the batters are going to have to start firing soon.
