Another win for Michael Gould's men and in impressive style too. The batting order had a different look to it due to Darryl Rebbetts dropping out after the birth of his yet to be named daughter (lack of commitment was the general consensus). Gould opened with Ben Chambers, the former getting a breezy 63 and making it three half centuries in a row for the new skipper. Chambers batted through for a gutsy 71 not out. Andy Reid got an opportunity at number four, making the most of it by getting a wristy 56 as Worthing, having been inserted by the home side, racked up 235 for 4.
In reply the home side looked good as the openers put on 72 for the first wicket in good time, but Benn Challen made the breakthrough and from that point there was only going to be one winner. Challen ended with figures of 4 for 54 and the evergreen Andy Lutwyche took 3 for 48 to seal the victory, although some bizarre running by Lewes' number 6, Rashid Khan helped them along the way.
74 points from a possible 90 and equal top of the table with Haywards Heath.
