A convincing win on what was a poor track and a rainy day. A ground out 17 from chairman Dunn and a fluent 35 from Dave Marshallsay laid the foundations for a decent total of 202 for 5. Solid half centuries from Tom Lund (56*) and Justin Watts (52) gave the hosts a target in a game where Worthing had been inserted having lost the toss. They got zero bowling points.
In reply St James were frankly awful, capitulating to just 79 all out, with Harry Dunn taking 6 for 17 from 9.2 overs. Martyn Swift's debut spell amounted to 1 for 9 off 6 overs, with Josh Goldsmith and Shane Felton taking the other wickets, along with a run out.
Worthing remain in the promotion places behind Chichester and level on points with Glynde.
