1st XI v Crowhurst Park (Away):
A second win on the bounce for Luke Vinter's men as they won by 4 wickets. The hosts were put into bat after Vinter won the toss and scored 209 all out on a fast scoring ground. Andy Lutwyche took 5 for 65 and Been Challen 3 for 39.
The reply predictably got off to an inauspicious before Benn Challen (97 not out) and Nick Ballamy (60) did all but see the visitors over the line.
Scorecard

Scorecard
3rd XI v Barns Green (Away):
Tim Dunn's side were asked to bat first with the skipper then opting to use his head rather than his bat on 9. Fellow opener and son Jack top scored with 47 runs all around the wicket apparently, and Suvadip Dey made 30 at the end as Worthing ended on 167 all out.
The hosts reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets as Sanjeev Kalra took 2 for 26 and wicket each for Joe and Jack Westlake as well as Andy Culver.

Senior Results - 3.8.13
1st XI v Roffey (Home):
Another day where lacklustre batting saw another opportunity to climb off the bottom of the table slip from their grasp. Having won the toss Darryl Rebbetts opted to bowl first on a pitch that had been underwater the previous morning due to a torrential downpour.
The bowlers kept it tight and were dutifully backed up by their fielders as Roffey amassed 192 all out from 57.1 overs. Luke Vinter wrapped up the tail in taking 4 for 49, Andy Lutwyche 2 for 62 from 22 overs, Benn Challen 2 for 27 and Harry Dunn 1 for 21 in an excellent spell for the young spinner.
Worthing's reply started poorly and rarely got going as they succumbed for just 82. Only three players made double figures: Matt Green 24, Benn Challen 16 and Rebbetts top-scored with 31.
Scorecard

Scorecard

Not a great weekend for Worthing CC as they came second in each match.
1st XI v Roffey (Away):
The first eleven don't do boring games and this was yet another game that went down to the wire as the hosts crept over the line on the last scheduled ball of the day having scored 15 off the final over the get there.
Having lost the toss Darryl Rebbetts' men were asked to bat and got off to a good start through Michael Gould (68), Matt Green (46) and Matt Machan (27), but a middle order collapse left just Nick Ballamy (26) to offer some resistance as a below par score of 228 was posted on the fast-scoring ground.
Worthing took wickets at regular intervals but it wasn't quite enough as Luke Vinter (2 for 48) and Machan (2 for 77) tried in vain to claim he points. Nick Oxley and Ballamy took a wicket each and there were two run outs, but the highlight was perhaps Gould's one-handed catch to dismiss Rohit Jagota.
Scorecard
2nd XI v Roffey:
Worthing didn't get enough runs at the Manor against Roffey 2nd XI as the twos went down by 5 wickets. Worthing were put into bat and although a few got starts only posted 152. Brad Lewis (40), Luke Barnes (32), Gary Tester (35) and John Kaye (26) set up a decent score but one or more should probably have pushed on. A tailend collapse from 152 for 5 to 152 all out didn't help.
Martyn Swift bowled a tight spell taking 2 for 11 from 7 overs, and there was a wicket each for Tester, Shane Felton and Jamie Piper but it was in vain as Roffey reached their target with ease.
Scorecard
3rd XI v Barns Green:
The third eleven were soundly beaten against Barns Green as the visitors won the toss and elected to bat. Injury to Paul Westlake in the first over of the game didn't help as Barns Green racked up 247 for 1 declared with Adam Squires taking the only wicket.
The reply started well with Tim Dunn finally getting some runs with 82 and Tom Chambers 34, but after that resistance was minimal with only Sam Greenrod (16) reaching double figures as Worthing succumbed for 197.
Scorecard
4th XI v Barns Green:
Batting once again was the issue (it seems to be a common theme for every team at the moment!) at Barns Green. The hosts opted to bat and notched 169 for 7 with James Belton (3 for 31) and Greg Harris (2 for 31) being the main threat. Robson Piper and Glenn Harris took a wicket each.
The reply stuttered to 100 all out with Yasir Iqbal (18) top scored and Josh Hyde hit 17 as no-one pushed on.

Worthing CC Seniors - 23.6.12
A great day for the club as the first team secured their second win of the season, with the seconds and the fifths breaking their duck for 2012.
The 1s travelled to Hastings with nothing to lose against the league leaders. A rapid opening spell from John Glover backed up by a miserly spell from Luke Vinter kept Hastings under wraps. Glover finished with 3 for 57, the off spin of Benn Challen claimed 3 for 82 from 18 overs and Andy Lutwyche claimed a wicket on his return from injury. Hasting racked up 252 foir 8 which was about par on a good batting surface and quick outfield.
In reply Worthing chased the total successfully, with great innings from Matt Norris who scored at basically a run-a-ball for 84, skipper Darryl Rebbetts 70, Benn Challen 30 and Brad James 21. With 7 overs remaining the visitors required 43, but cometh the hour, cometh the man and vice-captain Lutwyche strode in to smash 35 not out from just 20 balls and see Worthing home by 5 wickets with an over to spare.
The seconds too were not necessarily expecting to get much out of their fixture with second placed Hastings. Worthing batted first with Tom Lund top-scoring with what was ultimately a match-winning 41 in the home side's total of 159, ably supported by Tim Dunn (19), Dave Marshallsay (13), Gary Tester (16), John Kaye (15) and Harry Dunn (17).
Justin Watts' men then bowled Hastings out for just 135 with Tester (3 for 78), Paul Westlake (3 for 31) and Shane Felton (3 for 6) being the destroyers-in-chief.
The fifths played at Barns Greenand knocked up 229 for 2 from their 40 overs, with Adam Bastable hitting an unbeaten century and Glenn Haris 75. Dave Leader chipped in with 30 not out and Lloyd Crathern 15.
In reply the hosts could only manage 140 for 8 to give Bastable's men their first victory of the season, with Tom Sales, James belton and Dan Stuart each taking 2 wickets, Hary Reeves and Jack Westlake taking a wicket a-piece.
